The Port in numbers
“Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.”
(Albert Einstein)
Grown-ups love figures. When you tell them about a new friend, they are never interested in the essentials. They never ask: “What is the tone of his voice? What are his favourite games? Does he collect butterflies?” But they do ask you, “How old is he? How many siblings? How much does he weigh? How much does his father earn?” Only then do they think they know him.
(Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
